Step-by-step instructions
Choose an inclusive date window
Set the earliest and latest eligible dates. The end must be on or after the start.
Set the number of dates
Choose How many? from 1 to 100. Repeated dates are possible because every pick is independent.
Generate and record the dates
Select Pick dates. Save the output with the range settings when the window is relevant to your activity.
Worked example
The example uses the full calendar year 2028. Leap-year February is part of the valid date window.
One valid result is shown below. Your generated outcome will vary.
Example settings
Start date: 2028-01-01 End date: 2028-12-31 How many: 1
Example result
1. 2028-08-09
The output is a calendar date, not a day-of-year number. All valid dates within the chosen bounds are eligible.
Choose the year explicitly
A day of the year depends on the calendar year when leap-day eligibility matters. Do not assume the date picker excludes February 29 or changes the window to match an unstated year. If you want a day number rather than a date label, use an integer range that matches that year’s day count and map it separately.
Settings and limits to check
The picker returns valid calendar dates in YYYY-MM-DD format. It includes both endpoints and does not exclude weekends, holidays, or previously selected dates. Repeats are allowed within a batch. It selects calendar days, not meeting availability or date-and-time appointments. A single-day window produces that day on every pick.
Settings used in this example
Start date: 2028-01-01 End date: 2028-12-31 How many: 1
Keep a usable copy of the result
Use Copy to place the current result in your own notes, or Download to keep a text file. Keep the range, count, or other settings with the result when they are needed to interpret it. A new generation replaces the displayed result rather than adding to a saved history.
The tool runs in your browser and does not upload your input. Save the result before refreshing or leaving the page. If other people need to use the same outcome, share your saved copy rather than asking them to generate another independent result.
Frequently asked questions
Can February 29 be selected?
Yes, when it is a valid date in the selected leap-year range.
Can the same date appear more than once?
Yes. There is no no-repeat setting in this tool. Each date is selected independently.
Can I exclude weekends or holidays?
No. Every date in the selected window is eligible. Prepare an allowed-date list and use a list picker when exclusions matter.
What should I check in the worked example?
The output is a calendar date, not a day-of-year number. All valid dates within the chosen bounds are eligible.
