How-to guide Date generator

How to Generate a List of Random Dates

Here’s how to generate a list of random dates: choose a date window and a batch size, then generate up to 100 independent calendar dates.

How to Generate a List of Random Dates

Ten dates are selected from the first quarter of 2027. The output is a raw random list rather than a chronological schedule. The settings below match the worked example. Change them to match your activity. Nothing is generated until you select Pick dates.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose an inclusive date window

Set the earliest and latest eligible dates. The end must be on or after the start.

  2. Set the number of dates

Choose How many? from 1 to 100. Repeated dates are possible because every pick is independent.

  3. Generate and record the dates

Select Pick dates. Save the output with the range settings when the window is relevant to your activity.

Dates may repeat and may appear out of order. That is compatible with independent date selection.

Decide whether you need unique dates or a schedule

This tool has no no-repeat toggle and does not enforce spacing between dates. For distinct dates, prepare an eligible-date list and select without replacement using a list picker. If the output needs chronological order, sort a saved copy separately. Do not describe the raw batch as evenly spaced or calendar-availability checked.

Settings and limits to check

The picker returns valid calendar dates in YYYY-MM-DD format. It includes both endpoints and does not exclude weekends, holidays, or previously selected dates. Repeats are allowed within a batch. It selects calendar days, not meeting availability or date-and-time appointments. A single-day window produces that day on every pick.

Start date: 2027-01-01
End date: 2027-03-31
How many: 10

Keep a usable copy of the result

Use Copy to place the current result in your own notes, or Download to keep a text file. Keep the range, count, or other settings with the result when they are needed to interpret it. A new generation replaces the displayed result rather than adding to a saved history.

The tool runs in your browser and does not upload your input. Save the result before refreshing or leaving the page. If other people need to use the same outcome, share your saved copy rather than asking them to generate another independent result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I generate 10 unique dates with this date tool?

Uniqueness is not guaranteed. Use an allowed-date list with a no-repeat list picker when it is required.

Can the same date appear more than once?

Yes. There is no no-repeat setting in this tool. Each date is selected independently.

Can I exclude weekends or holidays?

No. Every date in the selected window is eligible. Prepare an allowed-date list and use a list picker when exclusions matter.

What should I check in the worked example?

Dates may repeat and may appear out of order. That is compatible with independent date selection.
