Step-by-step instructions
Define the two outcomes
Ask a question with two acceptable outcomes, or agree which action Yes and No represent.
Decide how many answers you need
The tool generates one answer per click. If you need a sequence, record each answer before generating the next.
Generate the answer
Select Decide for me. Read the result as a random outcome rather than evidence about the question.
Worked example
An exercise records ten answers in a separate tally, using one generation for each observation. The tool itself shows only the latest answer.
One valid result is shown below. Your generated outcome will vary.
Example settings
No settings required
Example result
1. Yes
A run of identical labels is possible. It does not require the next answer to switch.
Use the right tool for a larger batch
Yes/No Generator produces one output per click. If you need many binary outcomes at once, Coin Flip can generate up to 100 labels in a batch; define Heads as Yes and Tails as No before interpreting them. Keep the raw sequence when order matters rather than recording only a final count.
Settings and limits to check
Yes and No each have a 50% chance on every generation. The tool has no question analysis, input-dependent prediction, or memory. Consecutive identical answers are possible. Use it for casual decisions, prompts, and games where either outcome is acceptable; the result does not establish whether a claim is true.
Keep a usable copy of the result
Use Copy to place the current result in your own notes, or Download to keep a text file. Keep the range, count, or other settings with the result when they are needed to interpret it. A new generation replaces the displayed result rather than adding to a saved history.
The tool runs in your browser and does not upload your input. Save the result before refreshing or leaving the page. If other people need to use the same outcome, share your saved copy rather than asking them to generate another independent result.
Frequently asked questions
Can this yes/no tool generate 50 answers with one click?
No. Use a coin-flip batch with an agreed label mapping, or record 50 separate yes/no generations.
Is Yes more likely for some questions?
No. The generator does not read or evaluate your question. Yes and No have equal probability.
Can the answer repeat?
Yes. Each generation is independent, so a new click can give the same answer.
What should I check in the worked example?
A run of identical labels is possible. It does not require the next answer to switch.
